So the other day I took the liberty of emailing my mailing list with the vain hope that this effort might attract more readers to my blog. I idiotically did not exclude my boss, and past bosses from the email which ammused me just a little bit.
But the thing that really got me laughing was when I wen out for my mate's 19th last night, one of our good mates, a highly religious twin, who never fails to try and shit me off by exclaiming "Bless you!" when I sneeze was there and he said:
"I got that link you sent me, I read a little bit and then closed the page because I thought you were taking the piss out of me."
That got me grinning because I'd completely forgotten to filter out the religiousites from my mailing list. And the fact that he thought I was deliberately targetting him and stopped reading immediately on discovering the contents of this blog is completely reminiscent of the religious ideolgy that if you don't like something or something is in conflict with your views, ignore it or shoot it down.
It seems I got my own back for all the sneezing quips.
