Substitution

I have recently been thinking about the wonders of substituting words for "God" and "Jesus/Jesus Christ" to affect the meaning of biblical quotes and comon phrases.

Common phrases:
"God Bless You" - Fucking Bless You
"Let us pray to God" - Let us pray to snob
"God's sake" - Self evident

I then wondered if this could be better effected by using it to rewrite the bible so that is what I am going to undertake to do, for a far more comedic effect.

"All paths of religion lead to to God" - All paths of religion lead to delusion/jail/eternal death

This one doesn't even need changing so I am including it here for the irony:
"Let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action." -The Bible, 1 John 3:18 NRSV

And the closer:::
"You were united to your wife by the Lord. In God's wise plan, when you married, the two of you became one person in his sight."

-You were united to your wife by the stench. In ass wise plan, when you married, the two of you became one person in plain sight.

Ok ok, I know it needs a lot of work but if I could just get my hands on a word document of the whole kit and caboodle and spend some time thinking, rather than just thrashing out garbage then I think I could really make something out of this. Lemme know what you're thinking on this one folks.
